You send students out into our Collaboration Spaces... but how do you know they're working?? Here are some AWESOME ideas to keep the collaboration productive!
Ground rules:
1 - Student use of collaborative space should be "purposeful". There should be a reason why students are working outside of the classroom.
2 - Students should not dismiss from a collaborative space. You should always have students meet back in classroom to close the lesson.
3 - Teachers should also be out of the classroom if students are, check on your students! - Use those running shoes and get moving!

MONITOR YOUR STUDENTS...
More Ideas...
- Need a quiet place to film? Utilize planning period classrooms for small group work so that you can allow freedom while having a smaller area to monitor.
- Give time limits for being outside of the room
- Limit areas so that you know where to check-in on them
- Student group leaders - Choose one student per group to report on the work/progress
- Sign-up sheets/board to record where students are so that you can use those running shoes
- Checklists/Contract - Have students upload assignments as they complete with due "times" - if you haven't heard from a student, go find them!
- Stop and Share Times - Have students either check back in with you at an assigned location or digitally at certain times
