- Restart it - This fixes SO many issues ; )
- Update the Software - Right now there are blocks in place in the District to prevent students from updating to a new OS and it's preventing us from updating. Yosemite has the District stamp of approval but El Capitan is still being evaluated. Hopefully this block will be lifted soon and we can update our Apple TV's as needed.
- Video & Sound - This seems to be a BIGGER problem with Apple TV. Often it makes the video stop/start or stutter or even not play sound. I'm afraid that's a network issues. With video & sound - it's always best to use your dongle. That should always work.
- Re-Name it - We have had much success with this! Just use the tiny remote / select settings / then name / down to Custom / and you can re-name your Apple TV. Be sure to choose a UNIQUE name. You might want to use your room number.
- We can also completely reset your Apple TV. If necessary enter a School Dude request and our Help Desk students can help. Be sure that you have a Dongle so that you can continue to project for a short while without your Apple TV.
- Below you will see a LINK to a GREAT Blog post about advanced settings on your Apple TV. I learned a bunch from this one and wanted to share!
