NC Test PrepTip of the Day - Help Ease the Transition Back to Real WorldClick HERE for an Awesome Transition article with ideas to help students make the transition back to the world of school after a vacation of downtime. Let's be real - it's a challenge for us as teachers! Why not be intentional in your planning to encourage a smoother transition? Click HERE for an article describing a Very Good Engagement Activity to get your students UP and TALKING about your specific content info - idea would work for ANY classroom but the example is in a MATH Classroom. Simple strategy with OUTSTANDING results!!
Please make sure that ALL of your students are prepared before testing day.
***IF students have a loaner iPad - we WILL have a laptop for them to use on Testing Day. They will pick the laptop up prior to each test each day. We will have a Help Desk Station set up in the 100-200 Intersection. NCTest Tutorial Day - Monday, January 8th
Testing Tutorial - 1/5 Thursday & 1/6 Friday
**We will begin calling students with tech issues to Help Desk the week of 1/9.
Tutorial / Laptop Setup CheckThe testing this Spring should be VERY similar to the testing at the end of 1st Semester. Hopefully we will not have as many issues with student laptops but just in case we want to go ahead and have students do the Tutorial on May 18th. It's SUPER important that students follow the directions on the slide and verify/change these settings on their laptops. If not - it's very possible that their actual test start could be delayed AND they could accidentally interrupt the test and lose all their data. Please make sure that ALL of your students are prepared before testing day. Here are the steps you will follow on the May 18th - Day of Tutorial:
ALL students participating in an online EOC will need to follow these directions to install NCTEST and edit their screen saver settings BEFORE taking the test. It is HIGHLY advised that you walk your students through this install BEFORE the Christmas break. Please have students RESTART their computers again before the actual test to maximize the efficiency of their laptops.
Thanks to Grant Deaton, TF at Salisbury High for sharing the original powerpoint slides!
