NCTIES19, FETC 2019 & Cult of PedagogyEducation Tip of the Day! You can glean info, wisdom and tips from a conference - even if you don't go! Most conferences have fabulous speakers who post their presentations for FREE! Stalk the conference page to see the featured speakers then visit their webpages for resources that were shared at the conference. You can also let Twitter work for you. Attendees will often tweet a link to the location of shared resources! I attended (virtually stalked) the FETC 2019 and posted the results below for you to enjoy. I also stumbled onto another great resource - Cult of Pedagogy. Seriously make time to check it out! Instructional Idea Videos, Podcasts, All things TechEd. Very Impressive! |
- Shake Up Learning with Kasey Bell - Check out the web post!
- Free Webinar - 3 Things That Will Change How You Use Google Slides

I'm an Apple girl.... this is a Microsoft product and I have to say. It. Is. AWESOME. It's New. It's Immersive Reader. I know we are High School but we are also parents. I think everyone needs to know about THIS! Check it out! Tell your friends. I'm sure there is someone out there that needs to know about this! One Note is a free account and all the IR tools work with it. 360 Cities - Not originally created for educational use BUT a great resource for students to feel like they are IN a specific city! | Geogussr - Addictive game that plops you down somewhere in the world using Google Street View and you have to figure out where you are. GREAT for those students who finish early? A reward? It's really that fun! |
- Great Big Story - Collection of videos - Connecting the World One Story at a Time! Owned by CNN. Great content! Beautiful stories!
Yo Teach! - Today's Meet Alternative! YAY!!! Classroom Q - SUCH a GREAT idea! Create a digital queue to monitor which students need help and what they need help with! | Webjets - Padlet upgrade! FREE Education Plan! "A card can contain an image, an embedded video, a live Google Doc, an attached file, or a table containing a variety of elements organized into columns. Probably the best feature is that cards can be collected into folders, where the items are listed along the left, and the selected item appears in a larger window on the right. You can keep multiple folders on one board, and all cards can be collapsed or expanded, making it easy to neatly collect large amounts of resources all in one place." - Cult of Pedagogy |
